General Guidelines

Tidal Basin Review accepts submissions on a rolling basis between August 1 and February 28/29 of any given year. Any general submissions received between March 1 and July 31 will not be considered and will be discarded. You may send no more than 2 (two) submissions during the general reading period; however, please wait to receive a response to your initial submission before sending another. The standard response time is 2 (two) months.

Tidal Basin Review
considers work, in English, which has not been previously published. By accepting an offer from Tidal Basin Review to publish your work, you consent to the following terms: 1) Tidal Basin Press (a non-profit corporation) acquires North American Serial Rights, First Electronic Rights, and Electronic Archival Rights; 2) Publication rights and copyrights revert back to the author upon publication of work in an issue of the Tidal Basin Review; and 3) "Tidal Basin Review (tidalbasinpress.org)" will be acknowledged as first publisher in any future reprints of the published work.

We accept simultaneous submissions, however, please notify us immediately upon acceptance of your work elsewhere via the Submission Manager.

For poetry submissions, submit 3-5 poems totaling no more than 7 pages in one single file in doc., rtf, or .pdf format. For prose submissions, submit one (1) short story or one (1) stand alone novel chapter or creative non-fiction piece of no more than 2,500 words in one single file in doc., rtf, or .docx format.

You may include biographical information in the "Comments" section.

NOTE to Contributors: Tidal Basin Review is not a paying market and does not provide a contributor's print copy. Print copies are produced on-demand only. Upon publication, the e-issue is viewable and downloadable for free anywhere the internet is accessible.
